Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party | Top 10

It is no secret that I am a huge Disney fan. On top of that, I am a huge Halloween fan so Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is basically the best of both worlds! Mickey’s Halloween Party is an annual Halloween-themed party at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California and Orlando, Florida.

There is so many reasons you should attend this party and I promise you won’t regret it!

1- Decorations – Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

If you are not able to get tickets for the special Mickey’s Halloween Party, it is still worth visiting Disneyland or Disney World in late September and October because there are cute Halloween decorations up everywhere. If you are able to get tickets to the party, however, they put even more up for it!

2- Tons of Trick-or-Treat Stations

There are so many trick-or-treat stations through out the park. Sometimes it will look like the line is very long, but it actually goes pretty fast. It doesn’t matter if you are a kid or an adult, you can still trick-or-treat! You get really cute Disney Halloween bags when you enter the park and on the map it shows you where the different stations are located through out the park.

3- You Can Now Also Visit California Adventure

In the past, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party was only open for Disneyland in California, but good news! It is now open for California Adventure as well and there are tons of fun new decorations over there!

4- Shorter Lines for the Rides

One of the best parts of Disney’s Halloween party is that all of the rides are still open. They don’t sell as many Halloween party tickets as they do usual tickets so the lines are a lot shorter for the rides! We went with my husband and his family and we rode on the Matterhorn 4 times in a row with out a wait!

5- The Event Starts at 6, but you can Start Entering the Park at 3

If you arrive at 3 Pm to the park, they will already start letting you in so it is not necessary to purchase a Disneyland ticket for the day. The Mickey’s Halloween party ticket will suffice and you will still have plenty of time in the park!

6- Special Halloween Parade

There is a special Mickey’s Halloween party parade called the Boo to You parade and it is so much fun! The main song always gets stuck in my head though! One of the coolest parts about the parade is that it starts out with the headless horseman! It’s also the only time you get to see all of the Disney villains in one place. Your favorite Disney characters will be there also wearing cute Halloween costumes!

7- The Villains Come Out to Play

The villains are walking around everywhere and it is so fun to meet them all and take some photos with them too!

8- Halloween Fireworks

What more can I say? I am a sucker for Disney firework shows and this one is a special Halloween themed one where the castle is even lit up and it is just magically Halloweenie!

9- Dance Parties with Characters

This is seriously so fun for all ages. There are a couple of different locations that have different characters and a DJ and there are actually dance parties with characters! I have been to one with the Incredibles in Tomorrowland and then another one with Mickey and Goofy in Frontierland. Seriously, it is so much fun!

10- Dress Up in the Parks

The only time that adults are allowed to dress up in costumes in the park is during Mickey’s Halloween party! One year I dressed up like the little mermaid and it was so fun. Then last year when I went, I dressed up like a minion!
